Nezávislý belgický nástavbář Van Hool je důležitým hráčem v autobusovém průmyslu. Vystavoval s úspěchem dvacet různých vozidel v pavilonu i na vnějších plochách. Vozidla byla k dispozici i k testovacím jízdám. Společnost získala ocenění ‘Grand Award Environment’(vystavovala na veletrhu vodíkový palivočlánkový a hybridní autobus) a během zahajovacího ceremoniálu převzal ocenění ‘Bus Builder Prize of the Year’ Filip Van Hool z vedení společnosti Van Hool.

Van Hool satisfied with the 20th edition of ‘Busworld Kortrijk’.

Busworld Kortrijk has become the major international gathering for everyone involved with buses and coaches. The exhibition gives an overview of the newest vehicles available worldwide for public road transport. Coach and bus operating companies can inspect and compare the large variety of what is on offer.

Being an independent manufacturer, Van Hool is an important player in this industry sector. Twenty different vehicle types were shown on a 2000 m² stand and the outside exhibition display grounds. Van Hool looks back is satisfied with the results of last week’s events.

During comparative tests preceding the exhibition the ‘Grand Award Environment’ went to the Van Hool hybrid fuel cell bus. Other results from Van Hool’s development work to make public transport more environmental-friendly were highlighted. Visitors could travel with a new hybrid diesel-electric bus. They were impressed by the quiet and comfortable drive.

During the opening ceremony the ‘Bus Builder Prize of the Year’ was given to Filip Van Hool, member of the board and executive director production and sales. The reward is an appreciation from the industry for Van Hool’s dynamics, creativity and extensive choice of buses and touring coaches.

The newly developed vehicle types and several technological and safety enhancements got a lot of attention. Visitors cued up to experience the travel comfort and facilities during test drives with demonstrator vehicles. An eyecatcher was the new ‘Astronef’ coach with its ascending ‘theatre-style’ saloon floor, glazed roof and optional possibilities.

Being able to built to measure and to the wishes of the customers remain important trumps.

Competition remains fierce, but the constructive attitude and the vast capabilities of the factory and its staff resulted in commercial deals that will contribute to the employment in Flanders.
