Eindhoven, 18.10.2007 - V červnu 2007 irský národní dopravce Bus Éireann zakoupil 49 vozidel Axial 50. Autobusy budou využity pro veřejnou dopravu v Irsku s vyjímkou Dublinu. První dodávka autobusů přijde tento rok.

Axial 50 je autokar dodávaný v různých délkách a na různých podvozcích. Bus Éireann si vybral 12 m verzi Bus International SB 4000 na podvozku PR. Vozidla jsou vybavena motorem DAF PR 265 S a automatickou převodovkou ZF HP604C, mají přístup pro vozíčkáře, informační systém, odbavovací zařízení, CCTV systém 54 luxusních kožených sedadel.
Bus Éireann je irský dopravce, obsluhující 50 miliónů cestujících mimo Dublin, kde operuje sesterská společnost Dublin Bus, a to např. v regionech Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Galway. Zajišťuje školní dopravu, zaájezdovou a letištní dopravu do měst Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock a Kerry. Bus Éireann zaměstnává 2860 lidí, z toho 1778 řidičů s 1300 vozidly.
Autobusy od VDL jsou určeny pro Dublin, Cork, Sligo, Limerick, Galway a Tralee.

Large order for VDL Bus & Coach Axial 50 from Bus Éireann
Eindhoven, 18 October 2007 - In July 2007, Bus Éireann, the Irish national bus company purchased 49 vehicles of the type Axial 50. The vehicles will be used for public transport throughout Ireland with the exception of the city of Dublin. The first batch of vehicles will be delivered to Bus Éireann this year.

The Axial 50 is a luxury Single Deck Coach which can be supplied in various lengths and on various different chassis. Bus Éireann chose the 12 metre version built on the VDL Bus International SB 4000+ PR chassis. The vehicles are equipped with a DAF PR 265 S engine and a ZF HP604C automatic gearbox. The vehicles also have good wheelchair access and are equipped with destination equipment, payment table, ticket machine, a CCTV system and 54 luxury leather seats. The vehicles will be delivered in two versions: one in which the wheelchair lift is located in the luggage space behind the front axle and a version in which the wheelchair lift is positioned under the front door step.
Bus Éireann is the Irish national bus company, serving an annual 50 million customers across Ireland, outside of Dublin (which is served by sister company Dublin Bus). Bus Éireann operates City bus services in the four main regional cities, Cork, Waterford, Limerick and Galway, as well as Commuter, Town and Rural services. The single deck coaches purchased by Bus Éireann from VDL will go into service in Dublin, Cork, Sligo, Limerick, Galway and Tralee.
