Marion Mollen z VDL Bus & Coach BUSportálu upřesnila, že všechnya vozidla provozovaná ve Velké Británii budou karosována nástavbářem Wrightbus v Severním Irsku (viz obrázek).

Arriva objednala více než 350 podvozků k dodání v letech 2008 - 2009 s opcí na nákup dalších letech 2010 - 2011. Objednávka sestává z podvozků SB 200 s koncepcí extrémně nízké spotřeby. Jedná se o stejnou hnací soustavu jako u Ambassadorů, které mají velký úspěch v Nizozemí, Dánsku, Německu a Izraeli. SB 200 pro Arrivu jsou osazeny šestiválcovými motory Cummins ISBe Euro 5 a převodovkou Voith. Jsou vhodné pro invalidní vozíky a dětské kočárkydíky nízkopodlažní (LF) konstrukci. Do provozu se dostanou během let 2008 a 2009 ve Velké Britámii.

Major order from Arriva Plc for VDL Bus & Coach

Arriva has ordered more than 350 chassis for 2008/2009 delivery, with the option to buy further numbers for 2010/2011. This is the largest order ever placed by Arriva for right hand drive products from VDL Bus and Coach.

The order consists of the SB 200 chassis, a mature and proven chassis concept with an extreme low fuel consumption. It’s the same driveline that is used for Ambassador which is a major success in The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Israel. The SB 200 for Arriva is equipped with an Euro 5 Cummins ISBe 6-cylinder diesel engine coupled to a gearbox from Voith. It is also highly suitable for wheelchair users and passengers with buggies because of its low-floor construction. The chassis which has been purchased will all be in service during 2008/2009 across the UK.
