Začátkem června 2005 byl podepsán kontrakt s italským zákazníkem VDL Bus & Coach Arfea na zakázku 50 autobusů Mistral 30, které byly dodány do konce roku 2005.

Uzavření zakázky je dalším krokem v integraci různých autobusových společností - autobusy postavila VDL Jonckheere na modulárním podvozku VDL Bus International a platba proběhla v kooperaci s VDL BOVA Italia s.r.l.

Arfea

Arfea s.p.a. byla prvním klientem of VDL BOVA Italia s.r.l. The Arfea Group byla založena v roce 1954 spojením S.A.T.E. (Società Anonima Trasporti Elettrici) a S.A.A. (Società Anonima Alessandria). Od té doby skupina vzrostla na společnost s 180 zaměstnanci a 140 autobusy.

Arfea původně kupovala autobusy VDL BOVA Futura. V současnosti vlastní 13 Futur kromě zmíněných 30 Mistralů. Nové vozy jsou určené pro meziměstskou dopravu v Alessandrii a regionu Piemonte.

Mistral 30

Autobusy Mistral 30 jsou postaveny na modulárním podvozku SB 4000+ PF VDL Bus International. Autobusy mají specielní délku 10.49 m. Je zde 41 sedadel (39+2+1), klimatizace radio-CD přehrávač, čidlo couvání, řídící systém, dvojité dveře s plně automatickou plošinou pro vozíčkáře. Navíc je možno na záď umístit 2 jízdní kola.

50x Mistral 30 for Italian client Arfea.

At the beginning of June 2005 a contract was signed with the Italian VDL Bus & Coach client Arfea for delivery of 50 Mistral 30 type buses. The buses were delivered to the client at the end of 2005.

VDL Bus & Coach

The conclusion of this order is a further step in the integration of the various bus companies that form VDL Bus & Coach: these buses are built by VDL Jonckheere on a modular chassis from VDL Bus International and were sold in close cooperation with VDL BOVA Italia s.r.l.

Arfea

Arfea s.p.a. was the first client of VDL BOVA Italia s.r.l. The Arfea Group was created in 1954 through a fusion between S.A.T.E. (Società Anonima Trasporti Elettrici) and S.A.A. (Società Anonima Alessandria). Since then the group has grown to become a company with 180 employees and a fleet of 140 buses.

The Arfea Group has previously purchased Futuras. At present, the company has 13 Futuras in its fleet in addition to the Mistral 30s that are mentioned here. Arfea will employ the new buses for inter-city transit in the city of Alessandria and the surrounding region of Piemonte. The Mistral 30s have been given the traditional Italian intercity bus livery of a blue base colour with a narrow band along the entire length of the bus in the colour of the region and/or municipality in which they operate.

Mistral 30

The 50 Mistral 30s are built on the SB 4000+ PF modular chassis from VDL Bus International. The buses have a special length of 10.49 m. There is seating for 41 (39+2+1), and other features provided in the Mistral 30s include air-conditioning, radio/CD player, reversing sensor, fleet management system, a double door with a fully automatic wheel chair lift, and other equipment for handicapped persons. Additionally, the buses each have a bicycle rack mounted on the rear with room for 2 bicycles.

Od 1.ledna 2006 se stává novým členem vedení VDL Groep Rik Pronk, který působil 12 let ve VDL BOVA.

On 1 January 2006, Mr Rik Pronk (44) joined the management of the VDL Groep in Eindhoven. In addition to his position as managing director of VDL BOVA in Valkenswaard, he has joined the VDL management team as deputy director. His appointment became necessary due to the considerable growth of the VDL Groep
