Obrazový soubor jsme rozdělili na dvě pokračování. První je ve znamení zelené, a to nejen Green Line, druhá část červené a ostatních barev. Titulní obrázek 1.:

Letošní jarní festival dopravy pořádaný společností London Bus Preservation Trust bude poslední v prostorách v Cobhamu, protože se muzeum bude přesunovat před koncem roku do známého komplexu Brooklands Musea.

Organizátoři byli proto odhodlaní tentokrát zorganizovat velkoplepou akci současně s tématem 80. výročí londýnské příměstské dopravní divize Green Line, jejíž provoz byl zahájen 17.7.1930. Bylo zde mnoho vystaveno historických a moderních autobusů Green Line za podpory dopravce ARRIVA.

Jednou z atrakcí byl "Andrews Star" z roku 1898, 26 sedadlový koňský autobus, využitý k přepravě návštěvníků akce (fotografii nemáme). Jako obvykle se akce konala v muzeu a také v blízkém Wisely Airfield se spojením speciální linkou.

Zvláštní dík Duncanu Payneovi za pořízení dalšího souboru skvělých fotografií. (Velikonočním víkendem se tradičně otevírá sezóna v Birmingham Omnibus Museu)

London Green Line reaches 80

This years spring transport festival organised by the London Bus Preservation Trust will be the last at the site in Cobham as the museum will move to the famous Brooklands Museum complex before the end of the year.

So the organisers were determined to make this a BIG event and also gave it the theme of the 80th anniversary of the Green Line, London Transports country bus services division which started operation on 17 July 1930. There were large number of veteran and modern Green Line buses on display and this part of the evernt was sponsored by ARRIVA.

One of the star attractions was the 1898 "Andrews Star" 26 seat horse bus which was used to transport visitors around the site. As usual the event was held at the museum and also the nearby Wisely Airfield with the two sites been linked by a special bus link.
