Pro Syntus jsou autobusy vybaveny 38 + 2 sklopnými sedadly a 42 místy pro stojící. Autobus je nízkopodlažní typu LE. přístupný pro vozíčky a kočárky. Vozy jsou určeny pro regionální dopravu v regionu ‘Achterhoek’ na východě Nizozemí. Syntus B.V. zajišťuje veřejnou dopravu autobusy a vlaky v regionu ‘Achterhoek’ a železniční spojení mezi městy Tiel a Arnhem. je částí NS Group (Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the Dutch Railway Company) a francouzského Keolisu. All Ambassadors are of the ALE 120 type, with a length of 12 metres and fitted with a Euro 5 engine with an EEV exhaust filter. This is a double advantage for the entrepreneur and the environment as this system combines efficient fuel consumption with a substantial reduction in CO2, NOx, NHMC and fine particle emissions. With this order, Syntus has opted for the cleanest and most fuel-efficient public transport diesel bus. The 26 Ambassadors will be delivered at the end of March 2009. The Ambassador is a lightweight bus with very low fuel consumption, and is especially oriented towards the travelling comfort of public transport passengers. The Ambassadors for Syntus will be fitted with 38 seats, 2 folding seats and 42 standing places. As a result of the low-floor construction at the entrance and exit doors (Low Entry), the bus is easily accessible for wheelchair users and passengers with baby carriages. The buses are intended for the regional transport in the ‘Achterhoek’ (a region in the East of the Netherlands). Syntus B.V. provides public transport with bus and train in the ‘Achterhoek’, an area in the Dutch province of Twente, and the railway line between the Dutch cities of Tiel and Arnhem. Švajčiarska spoločnosť PostBus je vlastníkom už päťstého autobusu Setra.

Dodávka míľnikového vozidla - Setra S 412 UL radu MultiClass 400 - je významným bodom v spolupráci medzi švajčiarskym dopravcom a výrobným závodom Setra v Ulme, ktorá trvá už viac ako 30 rokov. Základ spolupráce sa datuje od roku 1976, kedy boli dopravcovi odovzdané dva 2,30 metra široké modely Setry S 120 A a jeden model S 140 ES zo série Setra 100. Swiss Post prepraví ročne viac ako 97 miliónov cestujúcich. Tentokrát sa dopravca rozhodol pre 10,80 metra dlhé vozidlo S 412 UL, ktoré, vďaka jeho kompaktným rozmerom, využije vo vysokohorskom teréne švajčiarskych hôr.

(SK + EN) VDL Bus & Coach Nederland odovzdal 5. februára 2009 jubilejný taxi-vozíčkarsky autobus pre Th. Lubbe Reizen. (Delivery of 100th taxi/wheelchair bus to Th. Lubbe Reizen)

Prvé vozidlo pre Th. Lubbe Reizen odovzdal VDL Kusters v roku 1984. Teraz, o 25 rokov neskôr sa spolupráca medzi dvomi firmami ukončila dodávkou stého vozidla. Všetkých 100 vozidiel pre Th. Lubbe Reizen bolo dodaných v spolupráci s B.V. LIAM (díler Mercedes-Benz). B.V. LIAM dodával základné verzie vozidiel, ktoré VDL Bus & Coach prestaval na taxi-vozíčkarske autobusy. Jubilejné sté vozidlo bolo prestavané zo základného Mercedesu-Benz 311 CDi Sprinter combi, s dĺžkou 4,325 m. Autobus môže odviezť viac ako 8 cestujúcich. Lubbe Reizen On 5 February 2009 VDL Bus & Coach Nederland handed over the 100th taxi/wheelchair bus to Th. Lubbe Reizen. In 1984 VDL Kusters delivered the first vehicle to Th. Lubbe Reizen. Now, 25 years later, the close co-operation between the two firms has been sealed with the delivery of the 100th taxi/wheelchair bus. All 100 taxi/wheelchair buses for Th. Lubbe Reizen have been supplied in collaboration with B.V. LIAM (Mercedes-Benz dealer). B.V. LIAM supplied the basic vehicles that were converted by VDL Bus & Coach into taxi/wheelchair buses. The 100th vehicle was built on the basis of a Mercedes-Benz 311 CDi Sprinter combi with a 4,325 mm wheelbase. The bus can accommodate up to 8 passengers and is fitted with the FutureFix system. FutureFix is a multifunctional furniture system designed to allow the layout of the bus to be arranged rapidly and flexibly, thus making optimal use of the available space. The FutureFix seat and back can be folded away so that people in wheelchairs can also have a safe three-point type seat belt and a head support. Th. Lubbe Reizen In 1961 Theodorus (Dick) Lubbe began providing taxi transport with just one vehicle. From 1 taxi vehicle in 1961, Th. Lubbe Reizen's fleet of vehicles has now grown to 17 coaches and 80 small taxi/wheelchair buses. Nova Bus, dceřiná společnost Volvo Buses, obdržela objednávku na 410 městských autobusů pro kanadský Montreal. Dodávky budou probíhat přes 3 roky a začnou letos. Montrealský dopravce STM se rozhodl pokračovat s využitím městských autobusů Nova LFS. 410 autobusů nahradí vozidla, která byla v provozu od roku 1996. Poslední objednávka zahrnuje kloubové i 12 m vozy. Model Nova LFS je s nerezovým skeletem, částicovým filtrem, přístupovou rampou a kamerovým systémem. Nova Bus má dva závody v Kanadě a nový závod v Plattsburghu ve státě New York v USA, kde začala výroba letos. The order is valued at SEK 1.3 billion and deliveries will be made over three years beginning in 2009. The city transit corporation in Montreal, STM, has decided to continue to operate with the Nova LFS city bus model. The 410 buses will replace the Nova buses that have been in traffic since 1996. According to Mr. Gilles Dion, Nova Bus President and CEO, this latest agreement is the fruit of a long-term partnership aimed at providing products that meet STM’s requirements and expectations. “We listen to key partners, such as STM, to be able to contribute to their success. Our goals are shared and we combine efforts to generate win-win situations for all parties, including passengers.” This latest order complements earlier order STM already placed with Nova Bus to increase its service in Montreal. It involves articulated as well as the regular 12-meter buses. During the next three years, Nova Bus will deliver a total of 214 buses during 2009, 427 buses in 2010 and 317 buses in 2011 to STM. The Nova LFS model in this round of orders from STM benefits from technological advances that enhance vehicle performance and reliability. Among the offered transportation solutions, these new Nova LFS buses feature a stainless steel structure, a particulate filter that reduces emissions, a front-door access ramp for mobility impaired passengers and a safety camera system. Nejmodernější flotila v Polsku využije celkem 122 autobusů Solaris.

Bolechowo, 31.1.2009 Dnes v poledne se představilo patnáct autobusů Solaris Urbino 12 a třicet kloubových autobusů Solaris Urbino 18 pro dopravce Zakłady Komunikacji Miejskiej (ZKM) v Gdańsku . Kontrakt byl podepsán v říjnu 2008. Všechny vozy mají motory s emisní normou Euro 5, klimatizaci u řidiče i v prostoru pro cestující a monitorovací systém. Spolupráce s ZKM začala už v roce 1997. V Gdaňsku tak bude nejmladší autobusový park v Polsku. Dohromady s novými vozy bude v Gdaňsku jezdit už 122 autobusů značky Solaris. Z TZ Solaris Bus & Coach

(SK + EN) Volvo Buses dostalo objednávku na 424 autobusov pre zákazníkov v Nórsku a Švédsku. (Orders for 424 Volvo buses to Norway and Sweden.)

Traja nórski dopravcovia, ktorí vyhrali dva veľké tendre, sa z väčšej časti rozhodli pre autobusy Volvo. Tieto objednávky posilnili pozíciu Volva ako lídra škandinávskeho trhu. Tendre v Nórsku sa týkajú Norhordalandu severne od Bergen, v ktorom kontrakt získala Concordia, a Romerike severne od Oslo, v ktorom si úlohy rozdelili Nettbuss, Unibuss a Concordia. Do Švédska si Concordia objednala 95 autobusov. Väčšina z nich je model Volvo 8500, 40 bude jazdiť v Štokholme a rovnaké množstvo v Göteborgu. Objednávka tiež obsahuje 15 autobusov Volvo 9700 pre Swebus Express. Autobusy budú doručené v priebehu apríla až októbra. Orders for 424 Volvo buses to Norway and Sweden Volvo Buses has received orders for 424 buses to customers in Norway and Sweden. In Norway, three operators that won two large tenders chose for the most part to purchase Volvo buses. ”These orders further strengthen our role as market leader in the Nordic region,” says Stefan Nordström, Senor Vice President, Business Region Europe. The tenders in Norway involved Norhordaland north of Bergen in which the operator Concordia won the traffic contract and Romerike north of Oslo in which Nettbuss, Unibuss and Concordia secured the assignment. Subsequently, when the operators selected suppliers of buses for the traffic, Volvo Buses landed contracts around year-end for 319 buses, slightly more than 80% of the deliveries. “I am convinced that our success is due to us being able to offer a highly favorable total economy,” says Svenn-Åge Løkken, head of Volvo Buses in Norway. “The orders involve proven products and through the years we have shown that we can deliver on time and with the right quality.” Most of the orders pertain to complete buses. Nearly 225 are Volvo 8700 intercity buses that are built at the plant in Wroclaw, Poland and about 30 Volvo 8500 intercity buses built at the plant in Säffle, Sweden. The remaining buses are chassis to be completed with bodies by the Vest bodybuilder in Norway. The operators have also chosen to be at the forefront with regard to environmental investments. The buses are equipped with Volvo’s 7- and 12-liter engines that meet either the Euro V environmental standard, which does not become effective until the autumn, or EEV, that is an even more stringent but voluntary emissions standard. The buses will be delivered in the spring and placed in traffic this summer. In Sweden, Concordia ordered 95 buses. Most of the buses are Volvo 8500 models, of which 40 will be placed in traffic in Stockholm and the same number in the Göteborg area. The order also includes 15 Volvo 9700 coaches to Swebus Express. Autobusy posilnia vozový park Dopravného podniku mesta Bratislavy, a.s. Dodávka zvyšných 15 autobusov sa uskutoční v priebehu roku 2009.

Ashok Leyland Ltd. prijal objednávku od Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) na dodávku 875 nízkopodlažných autobusov s pohonom CNG.

Spomedzi autobusov bude 350 kusov vybavených klimatizáciou, 525 bez klimatizácie. Dodávky začnú v polovici roku 2009, všetky autobusy budú v prevádzke v septembri tohto roku. Všetky autobusy budú mať motory 230 hp, automatické prevodovky, a podľa želania zákazníka tiež obmedzovače rýchlosti.

Dvadsiateho januára oslávila FirstGroup svoje dvadsiate výročie zhromaždením bývalých a súčasných riaditeľov a prvého personálu v centrále spoločnosti v Aberdeene.

V roku 1989 odkúpil generálny riaditeľ Granpianskej regionálnej dopravnej spoločnosti Moir Lockhead zamestnancov a manažment od Grampian Regional Council, čím spoločnosť získala kontrolu nad 600 zamestnancami a 225 autobusmi. FirstGroup je v súčasnosti na zozname FTSE 100 , má ročný príjem približne 6 miliárd libier, 137 000 zamestnancov, 80 000 autobusov, je najväčším autobusovým a železničným prevádzkovateľom v Spojenom Kráľovstve a prevádzkuje väčšinu severoamerických žltých školských autobusov. Ročne prepraví 2.5 miliardy cestujúcich.

Společnost VDL Bus & Coach dodala koncem roku 2008 1000. autobus Ambassador dopravci Conexxion. současně společnost dosáhla 2000. vyrobeného Ambassadoru - ten byl také dodán Conexxionu. Oba autobusy byly součástí objednávky Conexxionu na 355 Ambassadorů . První série autobusů Ambassador byla dodána v srpnu 2002. Úspěch Ambassadoru vychází z nízkoenergetického konceptu lehkého vozu, orientovaného na veřejnou dopravu. Autobus má nízkopodlažní konstrukci a bezbariérový přístup. Dopravce Connexxion dělí svoje aktivity mezi veřejnou dopravu, taxi, zájezdouvou dopravu a vodní sektor. Společnost má přes 14000 zaměstnanců , 3500 autobusů, 3800 taxi a taxibusů a mnoho ambulancí, tramvají a valků.
