Do Turecka dodá začátkem roku 2010 45 nízkopodlažních vozidel s rampami pro vozíčkáře splňující emisní limity EEV s klimatizacím za 11.2 milionů EUR zastupitelstvu města Kocaeli. Ve Španělsku se jedná o kontrakt na 15 milionů EUR na 54 autobusů pro dopravce Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid (EMT), který provozuje v Madridu autobusy, metro a železnici. Vozidla poháněná CNG využívají 4 nádrže z uhlíkových vláken a mají elektricky ovládanou rampu pro vozíčkáře a kočárky s prostorem pro ně, klimatizaci a interní zvukový systém a TVCC systém instalovaný u vstupních dveří. BredaMenarinibus wins two contracts in Turkey and Spain worth a total of over 26 million euro BredaMenarinibus, a Finmeccanica company, has won two important contracts in Turkey and Spain to supply 99 next-generation methane powered buses. The contracts are worth a total of over 26 million euro. Pier Francesco Guarguaglini, Chairman and CEO of Finmeccanica, commented: “These successes are the result of the turnaround carried out in the past few years at BredaMenarinibus, which thanks to a new management team, strong investment in research and development, and a review of production processes, has in only a few years regained its competitiveness both in Italy and abroad, with a range of cutting-edge products”. In Turkey, BredaMenarinibus has won a contract worth 11.2 million to provide the Municipality of Kocaeli with 45 methane-powered buses that meet environmental enhanced vehicle (EEV) standards, with air conditioning, low floors and ramps for disabled access. All the buses will be delivered by the beginning of 2010. In Spain, the company has signed a contract worth 15 million euro to supply 54 buses to Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid (EMT), which operates Madrid’s bus, metro and train system. The vehicles are powered by methane using type 4 carbon fibre tanks, and will have an electric powered platform for wheelchair or pushchair access, space for wheelchairs and pushchairs, air conditioning, an internal sound system and TVCC system installed near the entry door. The vehicles will be built entirely by BredaMenarinibus, with the support of two Spanish companies: DTA LIMITADA, Madrid, a general dealer for large transport fleets which already operates on the Madrid metro and will be responsible for the maintenance of the new buses, and DILIXI, Barcelona, a distributor of low environmental impact minibuses. VDL Bus & Coach dodáva dva autobusy Citea pre spoločnosť RET (Rotterdam public transport)-projekt NEMS.

Autobusy typu CLF (Citea Low Floor) sú 12 metrov dlhé a majú kompletne nízku podlahu. Citey budú v prevedení e-Traction a budú mať hybridný systém pohonu. e-Traction je holandská výskumná inžinieringová firma. Objednávka je súčasťou tzv. projektu NEMS, pričom NEMS je holandská skratka pre energiu - výkonný a k životnému prostrediu priateľský mestský autobus. Cieľom projektu, ktorý podporuje holandská vláda, sú nulové výfukové emisie v centre Rotterdamu. Partnermi, ktorí spolupracujú na projekte NEMS sú RET (Rotterdam public transport company), RCI (Rotterdam Climate Initiative), VDL Bus & Coach, e-Traction Europe B.V., Eneco, the City Region of Rotterdam a Rotterdam Institute of Higher Education. The Citeas will be converted by e- Traction and will have a hybrid drive system. e-Traction is a Dutch engineering and inventing firm. This order forms part of the so-called NEMS project: NEMS is the Dutch abbreviation for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly city buses. The aim is to have zero-emission driving in the centre of Rotterdam. The project is subsidised by the Dutch government. NEMS partners The partners co-operating in the NEMS project are RET (Rotterdam public transport company), RCI (Rotterdam Climate Initiative), VDL Bus & Coach, e-Traction Europe B.V., Eneco, the City Region of Rotterdam and the Rotterdam Institute of Higher Education. The Citeas, renamed NEMS buses for this project, will run on RET's timetable for two years. During these two years the Citeas will be tested and information will be gathered about the operational characteristics and the sustainability effects that can be achieved. The project will start in the autumn of 2009. Energy-efficient and environmentally friendly Fuel consumption is expected to fall by as much as half that of a normal city bus. The reduction in CO2 emissions will be 50%. In certain streets and districts of Rotterdam driving can be done completely electrically. This means zero-emission driving. An additional environmentally friendly aspect is that the Citeas produce far less noise, both inside and outside the bus. Thanks to the smooth acceleration and braking in combination with this reduced noise, an increased feeling of comfort is achieved for both the passengers and the driver.

Zastoupení Volvo Buses v Severní Americe, Nova Bus, obdrželo objednávku na 90 kloubových autobusů pro město New York. Autobusy budou kompletovány v nově otevřeném závodě v Plattsburghu v USA. MTA New York City Transit vlastní a provozuje flotilu více než 4500 autobusů. Newyorská flotila operuje na 249 lokálních a expresních linkách a obslouží asi 2,3 milionu cestujících průměrně denně. Objednávka následuje po úspěšném provozování Nova LFS Artic bus na lince Bx12 v Bronxu a lince M15 na Manhattanu. V minulých letech prodávala Nova Bus městské autobusy v Kanadě. V USA je kvůli financování třeba, aby částečná výroba proběhla v USA. Proto budou autobusy kompletovány v Plattsburghu. Článkové autobusy pro New York City Transit budou odtud dodávány od prvního pololetí 2010. V Plattsburghu budou také stavěny 12 m diesely a hybridy. The buses will be assembled at the new plant in Plattsburgh, US, which was opened on Monday. Serving the five boroughs of New York City, MTA New York City Transit owns and operates a fleet of over 4,500 buses – the largest bus fleet of any public agency in North America. NYC Transit’s fleet operates on 249 local and express routes, serving approximately 2.3 million passengers on an average weekday. Their order follows a successful six-week in-revenue service run of a Nova LFS Artic bus on the Bx12 route in the Bronx and the M15 route in Manhattan. In recent years, Nova Bus has sold city buses only in Canada. In order to sell city buses in the US – buses that are partially financed by tax funds – the US authorities require that part of the buses be manufactured in the US. Nova Bus has manufactured buses only in Canada in past years, but now a new plant is ready in the northern part of New York state in the US. The inauguration ceremony for the plant was held on Monday and the first bus will be rolled out at the end of June. The articulated buses for New York City Transit will be assembled there, with delivery scheduled for the first half of 2010. Nova Bus will also assemble its 12-meter diesel bus and its hybrid bus at the Plattsburgh plant. PR Volvo Buses Velký kontrakt pro Volvo Buses v Číně Volvo Buses se svým zastoupením Sunwin Bus (50-50 joint venture Volvo Buses a Shanghai Automotive Industry Co.) podepsali rámcovou smlouvu na 1500 autobusů s dopravcem Bashi Group v Šanghaji. Autobusy budou dodány k otevření světové výstavy Expo v Šanghaji v květnu 2010. Šanghaj modernizuje vozový park právě při příležitosti výstavy s tématem "Lepší město, lepší život". Asi polovina z 1500 autobusů budou modely Volvo B7RLE a Volvo B6R a ostatní se značkou Sunwin: diesely, hybridy a elektrobusy s nočním dobíjením a dobíjením superkapacitorů na zastávkach. Komponenty pro podvozky Volvo jsou připraveny ve švédském závodě v Borås. V Šanghaji jsou pak kompletovány. The Sunwin buses include normal diesel buses as well as hybrid buses, electric buses that are charged at night and buses equipped with super capacitors that are charged at bus stops when passengers alight and board the buses. The framework agreement implies that the Bashi Group will make suborders each month. To date, the company has called for about 300 of the buses and the aim is that all 1,500 buses will be ordered and delivered prior to the commencement of the World Expo. “It is encouraging that customers in Shanghai are so satisfied with the quality supplied by Volvo Buses and Sunwin Bus that they return to us with new orders,” says Lars Blom. “We are also hoping for additional bus orders in the venture now in progress in Shanghai.” Components for Volvo buses’ chassis are packed in the plant in Borås and dispatched to the plant in Shanghai, where the chassis are mounted and the buses assembled. Stuttgart – Společnosti Daimler Buses se podařilo zvítězit v EU-veřejné zakázce Berlínských dopravních podniků BVG a od října 2009 bude do hlavního města dodávat 144 městských autobusů Mercedes-Benz Citaro LE. Dodávka je rozdělena na celkem 4 roky, 50 autobusů se bude expedovat ještě v letošním roce. Autobusy budou vyrobeny ve výrobním závodě v Mannheimu. Citaro LE s Low Entry (LE) provedením spojuje komfortní nízkopodlažnost s hospodárnou vysokopodlažní technologií. U společnosti BVG budou Citara LE nasazena ve své 12-metrové variantě se dvěma dveřmi. Úsporné motory Citara LE s nízkými obsahem zplodin disponují moderní technologií Mercedes-Benz BlueTec SCR a splňují normy výfukových plynů Euro 5 resp. EEV. 144 městských solo-autobusů má ve své výbavě zvláštnosti specifické pro nasazení v hlavním městě: na základě Low Entry provedení jsou autobusy vybaveny dvěma rampami a dále pro tělesně postižené mimořádně vhodnými širšími uličkami v autobusech. Od svojho návratu na juhoafrický trh v apríli 2008 urobil Irisbus Iveco v usporiadateľskej krajine futbalového svetového pohára 2010 veľký pokrok.

Irisbus Iveco je v súčastnosti číslom 2 na miestnom trhu vozidiel verejnej dopravy s hmotnosťou viac ako 8,5 tony. V dvanásťmesačnom období, končiacom v marci 2009, tomu korešpondovalo 315 kusov vozidiel a podiel na trhu 22%. Ďalších 270 jednotiek bude doručených do konca tohto roka. Vyrobené budú v závode Irisbus Iveco v Barcelone, ktorý sa špecializuje na výrobu podvozkov pre autobusy a coache. Autobusy EuroRider s riadením na pravej strane budú mať v dvanásť-metrovej dvojnápravovej verzii motory Cursor 8 (40 vozidiel) a v 13,8 metrovej trojnápravovej verzii motory Cursor 10 (545 vozidiel). Kowloon Motor Bus Company Ltd (KMB) je dopravce s největší flotilou třínápravových patrových klimatizovaných autobusů. 95 % z asi 4000 všech autobuů je klimatizováno. Pro linky s nižší kapacitou cestujících byly zvoleny běžné autobusy B7RLE se 7 l motorem Euro 5 s karosérií MCV s rampou pro vozíčkáře. Podvozek Volvo B9TL MK II Euro V double-decker je navržen podle speciáních požadavků KMB a jiných dopravců v oblasti. Karosérie pro patrové autobusy dodá Wrightbus. Dodávka 40 nízkých autobusů je plánováma na konec roku 2009 a v roce 2010, dodávky 60 patrových vozů začnou během roku 2010. The order involves 60 double-decker and 40 single-decker 12-meter buses. KMB is the world’s largest operator of heavy duty triple-axle double-decker air-conditioned city buses, with more than 95% of their fleet of approximately 4000 buses featuring air-conditioning. Due to changing operational routing requirements, KMB has commenced remapping their fleet and the B7RLE single-decker buses have been selected for lower capacity routes. The company selected the Volvo B7RLE in which the 7-liter engine meets the Euro V emissions standard, the same norm that will apply in Europe as of this autumn. The bodies will be produced by the MCV company. The buses are air-conditioned and provide space for 35 seated and 43 standing passengers. They are equipped with a ramp at the front door to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs. With a long history in the Hong Kong market, the latest Volvo B9TL MK II Euro V double-decker chassis is designed to meet the specific operational requirements of KMB and other major operators in East and South East Asia. The bodies for the double-deckers will be provided by Wrightbus. The bodies fulfill KMB’s latest requirements, including an upper deck seating for 53 passengers. The lower level provides accommodation for 27 seated and 41 standing passengers. Space is also provided for one wheelchair, with the access ramp provided via the front door. The most recent design updates demonstrate a high attention to detail with extensive effort made to integrate features such as the Multi-Media On-Board system. V pondelok Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. podpísał s mestským dopravným podnikom /Zarządem Transportu Miejskiego/ v Kielcoch, zmluvu na dodávku štyridsiatich nízkopodlažných autobusov.

Zmluva zahŕňa dodávku 35 Solarisov Urbino 12 a 5 Solarisov Urbino 10. Prvé vozidlá budú do Kielcov dodané o šesť mesiacov, celá zakázka bude zrealizovaná do jari budúceho roku. Autobusy budú spĺňať prísne normy čistoty spalín EEV (Urbino 12) a Euro5 (Urbino 10). Štyridsať moderných Solarisov Urbino nebude prvými autobusmi tento značky v Kielcach. Solaris, mnohoročný líder na poľskom autobusovom trhu, doteraz dodal do Kielcov už tridsaťsedem vozidiel.

V trenčianskej SAD v stredu slávnostne odovzdali prvých 18 z celkového počtu 68 kusov nových klimatizovaných autobusov typu Crossway.

Vozidlá, nadstavby ktorých sa vyrábajú v spoločnosti ROŠERO-P v Spišskej Novej Vsi, boli do prevádzky slávnostne uvedené 29. apríla 2009. Bolechowo, 6.5.2009 - 13 let po zahájení produkce dodala společnost Solaris Bus & Coach 5000 autobus postavený v továrně v Bolechowě. Jubilejní vozidlo Solaris Urbino 12 bylo objednáno polskou společností Transkom Koziegłowy. Navíc slaví rodina nízkopodlažních autobusů Urbino 10. narozeniny. Jubilejní nízkopodlažní Solaris Urbino 12 s nerezovým rámem a moderními specifikacemi. Motor je 183 kW (249 HP) DAF with Euro 5, plně automatická převodovka Voith DIWA. Vozidlo je klimatizováno a vybaveno monitorovacím systémem. Transkom Koziegłowy k/Poznania provozuje 13 autobusů na severovýchodě od Poznaně. Zákazníkem společnosti Solaris je od roku 1999. Jubilejní autobus je desátým autobusem pro Transkom z Bolechowa. V současnosti Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. zahájil vývojové práce na autobusu s elektrickým pohonem, který zcela eliminuje emise spalin. Solaris Delivers 5000th Bus From Bolechowo Bolechowo, 6 May 2009 - Just 13 years after opening production, Solaris Bus & Coach has delivered the 5000th bus built in its Bolechowo factory. The jubilee bus is a Solaris Urbino 12 ordered by Transkom of Koziegłowy, Poland. Furthermore, the successful Urbino family of low floor buses celebrates its 10th birthday. In a ceremony at the Solaris factory in Bolechowo, Solaris founder Krzysztof Olszewski handed over the keys to the jubilee bus to Marian Szymański, managing director of Transkom, based in Koziegłowy near Poznań. Transkom operates 13 buses on commuter services north-east of Poznań and has been a Solaris customer since 1999. The new bus brings the number of Bolechowo-built buses in the Transkom fleet up to ten. Transkom managing director Marian Szymański said: “For me, the Solaris Urbino is the leading bus of its class. It is a great honour for us to have the 5000th Solaris bus in our fleet. We may only be a small operator, but we have always had a reliable partner in Solaris Bus & Coach and we are looking forward to further cooperation in the future.” Solaris founder Krzysztof Olszewski commented on the delivery of the 5000th bus: “Today’s event shows the remarkable development of our company over the last 13 years. When we started in 1996, we had 36 employees and produced 56 buses in our first year. Today, we have a workforce of 1600 and achieve an annual production of over 1000 buses. The Solaris Urbino, which we first presented ten years ago, has established itself as one of the leading European low floor buses thanks to its winning combination of high quality, reliability and attractive design.” 5000th bus from Solaris factory Bolechowo The 5000th bus built in Solaris’s Bolechowo factory is a Solaris Urbino 12 low floor bus. With its stainless steel frame and modern specification, it combines highest standards of comfort with excellent durability. The jubilee bus is powered by a 183 kW (249 PS) DAF engine complying with Euro 5 emission levels. Power transmission is achieved by a Voith DIWA full automatic gearbox. 37 fixed seats and two tip-up seats offer a comfortable travelling experience to passengers while a full air-conditioning system ensures pleasant temperatures on the bus at all times. A CCTV monitoring system ensures passengers’ safety. 10 successful years: The Solaris Urbino celebrates its birthday Along with the delivery of its 5000th bus, Solaris Bus & Coach celebrates the 10th birthday of its most successful bus, the Solaris Urbino.
